Structure-function relationships in GABAA receptors.

About

Michał Adam Michałowski is a research assistant at the Department of Biophysics, Wroclaw Medical University. His work focuses on the structure-function relationship of GABAA receptors and combines molecular dynamics and homology modelling with patch-clamp electrophysiology.

His research covers ligand-gated ion channels, receptor binding and gating, intersubunit interactions, ion effects and molecular mechanisms relevant to neuropharmacology. His academic background includes biomedical engineering and bioinformatics at Wrocław University of Science and Technology and neurobiology at the University of Wrocław.
